Collection: Balmain
Pierre Balmain founded his fashion house in 1945. The brand was known for its evening gowns, creating a distinctive, super-feminine DNA that contrasted with the utilitarian style of the time. Its embroidered fabrics, narrow waists and longer, wider skirts made the Parisian house a favorite of European and Hollywood royalty. With the appointment of Olivier Rousteing as creative director in 2011, Balmain has gained a new generation of followers with its philosophy, "fashion is not evolution it is revolution". Drawing on the house's vast design archive and employing the atelier's masterful techniques, he imposes a singular silhouette and contemporary attitude, inspired by street-wear, as well as intricately constructed haute-couture pieces for a sexy, urban style.
