Noriko Machada designs for Chimala in New York City but all the pieces are produced in Japan, from the weaving of the denim itself to the hand-destressing that is the hallmark of this quality brand. The collections are influenced by vintage workwear of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s with details that turn them into unique pieces, subtly playing with shapes and volume that places them within an absolutely modern framework.
