Collection: Jonathan Cross

Jonathan Cross is an American artist and sculptor with an eponymous studio in Los Angeles and a wood kiln in the desert community of Twentynine Palms, CA. He is known for his use of an ancient wood-firing technique in his imposing work that spans sculptures, furniture, and vessels. The process of wood firing gives his pieces a patina that evokes ancient relics and his work combines modern sensibility with textural materiality. It has been exhibited in galleries throughout the US Southwest from Los Angeles to Dallas. Private collections with Cross pieces include the Las Cruces Museum of Art, New Mexico and the National Bonsai Museum in Washington D.C.
