Needles

Founder Keizo Shimizu started in the fashion business in Japan in the late ‘80s with a store called Nepenthes that stocked vintage and military surplus pieces from the US along with other American labels. He relocated to the US and started the brand Needles in the late ‘90s as an in-house brand once he found himself with difficulties sourcing sufficient American-made vintage pieces. Although the classic styles of the brand are heavily influenced by Americana, the collections are produced from Japanese textiles and re-cut vintage pieces creating an eccentric and unique point of view.
